Container 'ZEBEDEE' is carrying a large quantity of second-hand tools and equipment, which have been lovingly refurbished by our many volunteers at our workshop in Amersham. On board are 411 kits or items, packed into 694 boxes, whose combined weight is 10,202Kg!! In all, 17 worthwhile self-help vocational projects will be the beneficiaries thus enabling a further 850 people out of poverty. The vessel carrying 'ZEBEDEE', the 'MSC ALESSA', is due to depart from the Felixstowe docks, in Essex, on Tuesday, 22nd April 2008. Travelling via the ports of Jeddah and Dar-es-Salaam container 'ZEBEDEE' is destined for The Catholic Diocese of Mahenge in Dar- es-Salaam and Sister Gertrude SWAI. It is likely to be sometime in July before the container 'ZEBEDEE' actually arrives as there are often delays en route. | |
