After more than three months of restoration work and a month's closure, Workaid is now open again for business in a former Victorian boot factory in Townsend Road, Chesham, just a few miles from our previous home in Amersham. Our new address is:

We are delighted to have brought this Victorian building back into use - to have 'recycled' it in the same way that we recycle tools and equipment and given it a new lease of life.

The factory is almost three times the size of Workaid's former headquarters - offering plenty of space for the charity to grow into - and it should enable us to send even more tools and equipment to training projects in Africa in the years to come.

Please come and see the fantastic work we are doing! All visitors arriving by car should park on the left hand side of the building and then report to our reception area, using the main front door, where someone will come and greet you if you ring the bell. If you have donations of tools and equipment, you will be shown to a side entrance off the car park. Our new headquarters is also on several main bus routes and is about 10 minutes walk from Chesham train station.

If you do come and visit, please bear in mind that the renovation of the building is not complete yet. We have some great new workshops and offices but the transformation into the perfect home for Workaid is still ongoing and it will be some time before we have raised sufficient funds to finish the project.
