In 2006, we received 406 requests for our assistance but were able to supply tools to only 161 projects. How many requests we can respond to depends on the financial support that we receive from charitable trusts, aid agencies, churches, companies, groups and individuals. Our success so far is due to the generosity of these supporters - but the demand for our help is unending and the more funds we have, the more projects we can support.

You can now donate online directly on the Workaid page at the JustGiving site here; or at the CAF (Charity Aid Foundation); where you just enter 'Workaid' in the search box that appears, then click on 'Donate'. Alternately you can send cheques or CAF vouchers to our address, given on the homepage.
Or you can set up a standing order with your bank or building society. Making a regular contribution to Workaid spreads the cost of your gift and enables us to plan for the future on the basis of pledged income. Standing order forms are available on request or click here to download a standing order form.
If you donate shares to WORKAID, you can obtain tax relief at your highest rate on their market value as well as exemption from any Capital Gains Tax. This means that donating £100 worth of shares to us will only cost you £60.
You might also like to consider making a bequest to Workaid in your Will. Leaving a legacy gives you the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a lasting contribution to our work. Most solicitors can advise you on how to make a charitable bequest.

However you make your donation to Workaid, it can be worth 28% more to us under the Government's Gift Aid scheme if you are an income tax payer. And if you pay tax at the higher rate of 40%, you will also receive further tax relief on your donation. Please state whether you are making your donation under Gift Aid so we can recover the tax paid.

Every donation we receive, no matter how small, is a valuable contribution to our operation, which helps thousands of people to escape poverty each year. With your support, we can help even more disadvantaged people to build better lives for themselves and their families.
