Workaid container 'TITUS', destined for Kisii in Kenya, left our container storage site in Little Chalfont on Wednesday, 24th October 2007. This is the second 20' Workaid container sent to Kenya this year and the 5th Workaid container sent to East Africa in 2007.

Container 'TITUS' is carrying a large quantity of second-hand donated tools and equipment, which have been lovingly refurbished by our many volunteers at our workshop in Amersham. On board are 412 kits or items packed into 605 boxes, whose combined weight is 8,780Kg!! In all, 23 worthwhile self-help vocational projects will be the beneficiaries.

From Mombasa container 'TITUS' will travel to Nairobi for customs clearance before its onward journey to our Workaid partner in Kisii, Christopher Otsinde, Education Secretary, Catholic Diocese of Kisii. It is likely to be sometime in January before the container actually arrives in Kisii for there are often delays en route from Mombasa.
